We have all been inundated with news regarding the rapidily evolving Coronavirus outbreak.  This has raised many questions and some concern.  Below is some information to let you know what we at Golden Gate Pediatrics are doing during this time, as well as some resources to help provide you with some clarity.

We are doing online virtual visits for all problem-oriented issues in an effort to keep with the best practices of social distancing during this time.

We are not able to test for Coronavirus in-office, but if appropriate, we can help coordinate.

It is now as important as ever to make sure we are all practicing our best hygiene habits such as frequent hand washing, avoiding touching your face/mouth and covering your coughs.

It is also important that everyone has received a flu vaccine for this current flu season.  If you have not, please call our office to schedule an appointment for your flu vaccine as we still have plenty of vaccine available.

We have internal policies and procedures in place for if one of our patients does present with the Coronavirus.

- We currently cannot see any patients with a fever or a cough in our office at this time.  Any patients with illnesses are first being evaluated via a virtual online visit with the Doctor.

- We are screening everyone at the front door before entering for fever and cough.

- We are allowing only one caretaker to attend the appointment with the child to limit the number of people in our offices.  There is an exception to this policy for babies during their first month of life.

- Per California mandate, everyone 2 years and older are required to wear a mask, except for those with certain disabilities.
